“The Barbershop” 22×28 oil on canvas
I don’t know how many barbershops like these are still around, I just know I’m very happy there’s one in town where the boys can get their hair cut. It’s such a unique(for me, at least) place, with the mounted animals on the walls, pictures of customers with their game, turkey feather fans and all the equipment and products Tony uses for his work. The boys always like going to Tony’s and even when they don’t need a haircut, my oldest just likes to visit and say hi.
Sometimes our lives are so hectic and chaotic and when I look at this scene, it reminds me of a simpler time that I’ve never known.
