Snow Day on the Green
Last year I planned a day of Plein Air painting in the snow in Wellsboro, PA. I really love the Victorian homes, old trees, and gaslights, especially in winter. I set up on The Green to paint the St. Paul’s Episcopal church when I caught this scene behind me. It had just begun to snow again and the shapes of the buildings and trees seemed to blend in with the snow-filled sky. The air was soft, the snow inviting. People were cheerfully greeting on another. We all agreed, it was a beautiful wintry day. I was grateful and happy to be there.
