Recently I was asked to do a drawing of a building in town that houses the Airbnb and Dobson’s Sips and Sweets. I’ve been drawing a lot lately, meeting once a week with friends to sketch patrons at the Blockhouse cafe and following several courses to improve my figure drawing so drawing a building is a nice challenge. My friend Bre uses toned paper, something I never tried before so I thought it would be fun to try. I also purchased a set of Derwent Drawing pencils and love the result of the white pencil.
Almost done:

“Airbnb Liberty” (working title, maybe) 9×12 pencil on toned paper. The actual drawing looks much softer, I have to figure out how to properly edit it so it looks exactly like the drawing.
